Spring is on the horizon. March 20th is the first day on Spring. The weather has been warm and the sun has been staying out a bit longer these days. And I enjoy this time. The time where the weather isn't too hot or too cold. It is comfortable. It allows for sitting on the porch, reading in the backyard, and barbecuing under the moonlight. But with Spring comes change and one must always move with change and that is exactly what I am doing, moving.
March 21st is when I am slated to leave the 13th Street Promenade and move to 12th street. Scott, Paige, and myself are all going to live together with the baby, which, I don't know if I mentioned here, is a boy. I'm happy to move because I'll be getting a slightly bigger room and my own bathroom. Getting my own bathroom is the most exciting thing ever. I've never had my own bathroom, so I think it's totally going to be cool that I can have as much "me" time in the bathroom as I want.
So on a not so high not, there was a huge accident at SLG this weekend. Some drunk chick plowed through the front of our office. I kid not when I say, it was complete carnage; the metal doorframe was completely taken off, glass was everywhere, Jennifer's desk was reduced to lumber, computers and scanners thrown across the room, skid marks on the carpet. It was a mess. Dan, of course, was the first one on the scene, and I arrived next around 2 am. It was nuts. I was driving down Reed Street to get there, and I could see directly into the office. That was Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon a bunch of us cleaned up, but it was a task. I'm sure we're gonna find pieces of glass everywhere for months. But we're gonna keep our heads high and keep on moving through because nothing can stop the mighty SLG, specially some drunk chick, who I'm sure is going to do some hard time for this little drunken snafu; so to the drunk girl, who will soon be rotting in her jail cell, I happily extend my middle finger and say, "Ha Ha", for you deserve all that is coming to you.
